Kentucky Freshman Alexander Chukwukelu Wins 110-Meter Hurdles at Nigerian Outdoor Championships
Kentucky track and field freshman Alexander Chukwukelu secured his first international title by winning the 110-meter hurdles at the Nigerian Outdoor Championships. This victory marks a significant achievement for Chukwukelu, who last visited Nigeria in 2010.
Chukwukelu showcased his impressive skills, recording the fastest time in the preliminaries at 13.82 seconds. He followed up this strong performance by winning the gold medal in the final with a time of 13.92 seconds.
Following this success, Chukwukelu will continue his competitive journey in Africa, participating in the African Athletics Championships in Cameroon from June 21-26.
